Getting to Kand
The trek starts from a small village Kand. Kand is 4 km off NH20 between Palampur and Dharamshala. For getting to Dharamshala, see this. Take the State Highway 17 from Dharamshala towards Palampur. 14 km from Dharamshala, just after Jadrangal bus stop and just before a bridge, a country lane turns left. Take this lane to Kand. The road is metalled for the most part. The last half a kilometre is unmetalled. The village is served by 3 buses a day.
