Getting to Diyori
Diyori is small, realtively unknown village connected by an unmetalled road as on November 2009. However, it is just 12 km from NH21, the highway connecting Chandigarh to Manali.
1. By Road: Take the Chandigarh Manali highway and get to Pandoh market. Pandoh is 18 km from Mandi towards Manali and has a dam over the Beas river. From Pandoh, take left towards Sivabadhar. Drive from 9 km on this road and take a right onto a dusty road just after a bridge. Diyori is 3 km from here. If you are using public transport, get on any bus towards Kullu and get off at Pandoh. There are a few buses to Sivabadhar in a day, the wait time would probably be long. You will need to get off at the branch to Diyori and walk the 3 km to Diyori.
2. By Air: The closest airport is Bhuntar, around 60 km away. The airport is served by Air India Regional (formerly Alliance Air), Jagson Airlines, Kingfisher Airlines and MDLR Airlines, all from Delhi. Please be aware that the frequency of the flights is very low and changes depending on season and traffic. From Bhuntar, head towards Chandigarh on NH21. Pandoh is around 50 km.
3. By Rail: Like most of Himachal, the rail link is not really something to talk about. The nearest large railway stations are Chandigarh and Pathankot. From either, head towards Manali by road and get off at Pandoh. Follow the 'By Road' route from there.
